Project: IndianBureaucracy.news | Type: WordPress news and editorial website

Project context
A news website asks readers to make frequent choices: what is new, which section matters, how to find a story and how to move to another report. A useful design must keep this navigation clear without making mobile readers work through unnecessary elements.
The WordPress work on IndianBureaucracy.news focused on editorial discovery, category structure and a more compact news-style interface.
What the project involved
- News-oriented homepage: a hierarchy for featured stories, current articles and section-based content that can be updated through the publisher’s workflow.
- Category navigation: prominent access to areas such as national news, politics, bureaucracy, state news, business, technology and education.
- Compact header: balancing the logo, search and navigation without taking too much space from the article content.
- Archive and article presentation: WordPress templates and query-based article displays that can automatically reflect published posts.
- Mobile reading experience: attention to search access, menu behaviour and legible article presentation on smaller screens.
Design principles for editorial sites
News interfaces need a predictable information hierarchy. Headings should indicate what matters; category pages should remain useful as publishing volume grows; and readers should not be forced to guess where search or archives are located. Using native WordPress and Elementor publishing features where practical can also reduce dependence on brittle one-off layouts.
This article summarises design and implementation work. It does not imply a quantified readership increase or other outcome that has not been measured.
How to plan a similar WordPress publication
Start by defining the core categories, expected posting frequency, author/editor responsibilities, search behaviour and mobile layout. Test the workflow from publishing an article to seeing it appear in the relevant homepage and category placements. For related services, see WordPress development at VYLINO.
